It seems our chums down in Oz are not even able to get a demo PS3 unit for their shop displays! Check out the pictures that follow of one retail stores attempt at showing off the PS3's gaming prowess. Due to a shortage of units it appears an Xbox 360 has been carefully(!) secreted underneath a cardboard cut-out of a PS3! Oh how disappointed the poor punters will be when they get home with their Playstations and find out those lush graphics in the shop somehow don't look right any more!

 The Star Wars saga continues on Xbox 360 this November in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a videogame developed by LucasArts, which casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice" and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny!

 Ubisoft have now confirmed that a download update for Rainbow Six Vegas will be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace near the end of March. The pack is called the "Player's Pack Red Edition". It will include two new entirely new game modes, Assasination and Total Conquest, together with three new and two redesigned maps (Border Town and Kill house) which have been revisted by Ubisoft Montreal and given a complete facelift. At a recent Microsoft Marketing and Sales conference, the Corporate VP Peter Moore finished off his address to colleagues with a impromptu jam session on Red Octane’s upcoming rock sim, Guitar Hero II, and he wasn’t shy about ticking off every cliché rock pose in the book to boot!

Take a peek over on the official Xbox Rewards website and you'lll see that pretty soon you'lll be eligible to receive real rewards in exchange for those precious gamer points. The scheme is due to launch in the U.S. initially but Microsoft have indicated their desire to bring the rewards scheme to Europe in future. Let's hope it's not too long a wait....
