The internet is awash with forum stories that the much awaited demo of Forza Motorsport 2 will be hitting the Marketplace's shiny new blade around 10am this morning. With an expected 24 cars to race around one track petrolheads will rejoice if this turns out to be true. Alas the demo will only feature AI racers and will not be online enabled we've been informed. Forza 2 has been dated for UK release on June 8th.

Ok, so you might be beginning to think I have a fixation about this particular game? Well you'd be damn right! Take a look at these two videos we've just uploaded courtesy of ign.com The first shows off the 'Where Eagles Dare' cable car ascent into the German Fortress, now tell me you aren't looking forward to this game as much as me! The second shows the mechanics of gameplay which are so reminiscent of Call of Duty this really does deserve to be called COD 2.5 and that would be a real compliment. If the handling and controls can just stay as sharp as COD 2 then we are in for one great time come June 22nd.

Six fresh titles have been revealed as 'coming soon' to the Xbox Live Arcade. Covering racers, shooters and board game strategy these six new titles will add to the wealth of quality content that is now coming thick and fast to the Live Arcade. Alongside these games Atari have also recently stated that they intend to release more of their classic games onto the Acrcade such as Asteroids & Missile Command, surely a retro gamers wet dream. Check out the details on the newly announced games after the link.

Some fresh images from the next chapter in Call of Duty History 'Modern Warfare' for you this morning. Still no more hard and fast details but you can't help but think of 'Battlefield' when you watch the recent trailer and see these new helicopter rapelling images. With last years Treyarch version of Call of Duty (3) introducing the 'War' game mode it seems more likely that this will appear in Infinity Ward's COD4 this year alongside a minimum 24 player online game. Sadly the intimacy of 8 player Call of Duty 2 matches will probably be a thing of the past it seems, let's hope we at least get a version of search and destroy in there someplace though?

Although the WW2 genre for many people is getting somewhat stale, in this writers opinion they still offer up the most entertaining style of FPS games that can be found on any gaming platform to date. The blend of 'old-school' weaponry and gung-ho all out action drags you in to the dynamics of the game and won't let go until you've mastered the perfect headshot or grenade toss. In June the roll-call grows yet longer with Midway's Hour of Victory jumping aboard the troop carrier and promising more of the same yet with a few interesting twists along the way.
