The good news for Gears fans is that the launch of Gears on PC this Christmas will feature some brand new PC exclusive content, according to an E3 video showing Cliffy doing the 'Brumak' fight sequence the PC version will feature 5 new single player chapters, along with a whole new multiplayer mode and maps (Arenas) The bad news though from Epic's Lead Designer Cliff Bleszinski and Gears PC Producer Rod Fergusson is that Xbox 360 players won't be getting any of it.
"There is no plan to provide the PC exclusive content to Xbox 360 gamers for a number of technical reasons," said Fergusson "One is simply the size and scope of the new content which would be difficult to deliver as an update. But more importantly, Gears of War for Windows was not created with the same version of Unreal Engine 3 as Gears of War for 360. We wanted to take advantage of all the latest and greatest optimizations and features that are constantly being added to UE3 and as such, this new content is not easily compatible with the Xbox 360 version."
So there it is folks, if you want to take on a Brumak you're going to need to do it on a PC this Christmas.No one has commented on this article. |
