Don't despair if you didn't make it into the exclusive 'First wave' of Beta players for Infinity Ward's much awaited Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. Latest word is the launch of the Public Beta test will be on Monday, August 27th! Sadly though this is still just for the US, International roll-out will be in 'Early September' according to Infinity Ward. COD4 has also now been confirmed for a worldwide release on November 5th so it wont be long before you are playing the ful game anyway, Beta trial or not....

Being taken care of as a consumer gets me "into" a game and makes me want the game at launch.. yet another dose of "ignore the scummy eurotrash" makes this a "wait until they fix the lag, around christmas" purchase.
