Good news for all the Halo fanatics and lovers of bouncy anti-gravity shoot-em-up action. Halo 3 has today been confirmed as ‘gone Gold.’ In simple terms that means that the game is 100% finished in development and the final game code itself has been shipped off to be duplicated by the million in time to get on our shop shelves on 25th September. Head of Bungie Studios, Harold Ryan, stated that, “This is a huge milestone for us and a big cause for celebration at Bungie and Microsoft Game Studios. This is the game we’ve always wanted to make and certainly the best game our studio has developed. We can’t wait for gamers to get their hands on it on Sept. 25th” Halo 3 is already the fastest selling game of all time based on pre-orders alone and it will be a big relief to Microsoft to know it will now hit its release date and not be the subject of any costly delays.
